For over 13 years we have helped Bahamians and residents shop any US store and collect it close to home.
Shopping online shouldn't stop at the US border. We started Mr. Ship It because too many people here were told “we don't ship to The Bahamas,” or paid more to ship an item than the item cost.
So we built the missing link. Every member gets a free US address at our warehouse in Miami Lakes. Shop any store, ship it to us, and we fly it in on our frequent flights, clear it through customs for you, and have it waiting at a store near you. You do the shopping; we handle everything between the checkout and your hands.
How we got here
We weren't born big. We grew one Christmas, one store and one lesson at a time.
The beginning
It started in South Florida
Before there was a store in Nassau, there was a warehouse floor in Florida, receiving packages for Bahamian shoppers that US stores wouldn't ship to, and flying them home.
2014
Our first Bahamas store: 1,000 square feet on Rosetta Street
We opened a small store on Rosetta Street in Nassau. One counter, a few shelves, and a small team that did a bit of everything.
The Christmas that nearly ended us
More packages than we had room for
Then came a Christmas season unlike anything we had planned for. Packages arrived faster than a 1,000 square foot store could hold them. It very nearly ended the company. We had to move, fast, into a much larger location.
The promise
Never again
We made ourselves a promise: Mr. Ship It would never again grow faster than it could handle. Every location we have opened since was built for the rush, not just the quiet months.
Today
Six stores, a Nassau hub, a Florida warehouse, and members across The Bahamas
Four stores in Nassau, one in Exuma, one in Eleuthera, our warehouse in Miami Lakes, and our Nassau hub at Airport Industrial Park, where our warehouse, billing and import and export teams work. All of it is sized for the Christmas, Black Friday and back-to-school rush.
